Organizational Zoo tool is for training, facilitation and coaching. It is consists of 26 zoo metaphors designed to ignite impactful conversations in group dynamics, awaken new leadership dimensions and create greater awareness of group dynamics for behavioural success.

It has been used in over 20 countries and by diverse organizations such as NASA, Cirque du Soleil, The World Bank and closer to home by The Singapore Pioneer Generation.

Dr. Shelley facilitates courses on executive consulting, knowledge-driven performance and project leadership in RMIT University’s MBA and master of project management programs.

🔹So the 26 metaphors do not fix you into categories or classifications like DISC or Myers Briggs— its profiles an entire spectrum of behavioural diversity: & upon diagnosis (when we use the DNA profiling): it demonstrates behaviour spectrums & this makes individual/ teams to analyse & adopt which behaviour traits they need to adopt or abandon for success in the contexts examined.

As an example, in a time of crisis: traits of an eagle are more useful & effective than owl likewise in marketing; a team made up of eagles, lions as opposed to again; owls & nematodes are preferable) basically it’s not about I am eagle or lion or x breed.

It’s about recognizing the spectrum of traits & adopt or abandon the right traits for the right contexts.

Upon profiling ~ if there are behavioural issues, mindsets in the teams/group/ participants that need to be engaged further: that is room for an additional session or even coaching because profiling just consists of explanation & awareness.

An additional coaching will be required. The Organizational Zoo metaphors also bring staff out of their mundane & operational mode.
